Future Features

FUTURE FEATURE #1: “My WORK”

Adding a “My Work” Section to Source Profiles

INITIAL IDEATION

Why do this?

I remember from my times as a reporter and editor the number of hours that I would spend hunting down a reputable journal or article and an author to speak to for a story. Adding this field to a source’s profile can cut hours out of their reporting process, allowing them to focus more on the data and interviewing sources. This is also a way for sources to showcase their work to potentially gain more exposure and recognition right on their profiles.

FUTURE FEATURE #2: “OTHER SOURCES”

Consider these other sources

INITIAL IDEATION

Why do this?

In order to prevent the same sources from getting quoted over and over again and ensure all voices are being heard, we will put in a count for how many times they have been quoted, either by newsroom or the platform overall (decision on this TBD). This count will be internal for our team only and will trigger a notification on that user’s profile when journalists go to connect with them.
